Contractors chosen for £1.5bn United Utilities AMP6 framework
United Utilities has appointed four joint ventures to its AMP6 framework for construction works from 2015 to 2020.
Balfour Beatty, Laing O’Rourke and Mott McDonald are among the successful contractors appointed to the construction delivery partners framework.
It covers the delivery of clean and waste water, infrastructure and other construction solutions in the North-west over five years.

Ferrovial/ Laing O'Rourke to build £600m Northern Line extension
Breaking: A Ferrovial/ Laing O’Rourke joint venture has been named preferred bidder for the huge Northern Line Extension contract.
Four JVs had been in the running for the scheme with those to miss out: Bam Nuttall / Balfour Beatty JV; Bechtel / Strabag JV; and a Costain /Dragados / Sir Robert McAlpine JV.
Mouchel appoints Laing O'Rourke man for water team
Mouchel has appointed former Laing O’Rourke water projects director Lee Horrocks as its business unit director for water design and build.
Mr Horrocks will work on securing opportunities with Mouchel’s contracting partners in water and wastewater and other infrastructure sectors.
