Kingston-Upon-Thames Borough Council is currently inviting applications to tender for a Planned Maintenance & Responsive Repair Contract. The works will be carried out within the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames. The final date for the receipt of requests to participate is 9th February, 2012 with tenders due to be invited 20th March 2012.
The contract will be let for a period of one year and seven months with an option to extend for up to a further three years at the Council's discretion. The term contract is part of the facilities management service and provided day-to-day planned/preventative and reactive maintenance of the Council's offices known as the Guildhall Complex (the core service), which currently comprises of three buildings (approximately 20,000 sqm) of office accommodation and for public services.
These buildings vary in age from circa 1930's and 1980's. This contract provides for technical and administrative activities to maintain the occupied buildings ensuring they are fully operational 365 days a year. The number of sites/buildings may increase or decrease over time, as initiatives such as the One Kingston Programme develop.
During the contract period, the supplier may be required to provide a similar maintenance service agreement to other buildings in the Borough. The contract is due to commence 3rd September 2012. Estimated end date is 31st March 2014.
