Demolition contractors awarded framework

The six demolition contractors have now been appointed for the framework for Salford City Council. Works will commence from May 1st 2013 and be carried out over a period of 4 years. The contractors are Coleman & Co Ltd, Buckingham Group, P P O'Connor Ltd, P McGuinness & Company, Connell Brothers and Bagnall UK. Works for the £17.5 million scheme will include demolition, site preparation and clearance works. Includes high rise work (hand, machine, high reach or explosives); low rise work (hand or machine); emergency responsive call out work, securing and boarding up of empty and dilapidated properties, asbestos removal, waste removal/disposal.
