Demolition starts for £450k residential scheme

Hughes & Salvidge (Portsmouth) Ltd has started demolition works at the former Penton Citroen Car Dealership site in Tuckton, Bournemouth.

The £450k development which is being jointly run by Mansell Construction and Pegasus Retirement Homes Plc consists the construction of a mixed use development of part two and part two 1/2 storey building comprising:

• 45 category two sheltered apartments for older people with ancillary facilities and two retail store;
• One 1/2 storey building comprising eight affordable houses;
• One 1/2 storey building comprising four affordable houses;
• Terrace of three and a pair of semi-detached bungalows;
• Relocation of social club and public conveniences together with access and parking provisions.

The scheme is excepted to be completed November 2012.
