Construction of the new St Luke's Medical Centre in Dunston, Northamptonshire has now commenced. The new building will replace Dr Astbury & Partner's existing surgery buildings currently located on the Harlestone Road and at the Dunston Medical Centre and will provide 2,100 sqm of primary care and associated accommodation.
The new premises are designed to enhance medical service provision for the local community via modern and more accessible facilities. When completed the flagship building will include multiple consulting and treatment rooms, offering patients greater services delivered from a modern day setting. There will also be a pharmacy and other complementary services including an optician and a dentist.
The building is being constructed for the practice by Ashley House Plc. The new surgery is expected to open in September, 2012.
