Detailed £5m Supermarket plans submitted

Detailed plans have been submitted for the construction of a new Waitrose supermarket at London Road in Worcester. The £5 million scheme for client Opus land has been designed by Aedas Architects Ltd.

Plans for new Exeter railway station

Plans for a new railway station at Marsh Barton, Exeter have been approved, this is the ninth railway station in Exeter. A prior information notice has now been published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) stating that procurement for the design and build contract for the design and construction of a new railway station at Marsh Barton Exeter is to commence on the 2nd June 2014.

Navitus Bay Wind Farm application submitted

The application submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for the Navitus Bay Wind Farm has been accepted for examination. Once the applicant has published and notified people of this project milestone, the Planning Inspectorate has approximately 3 months to prepare for the examination.

While this is in the pre-examination stage, people can register to become an interested party. The park would be made up of 194 turbines, depending on the energy generation needed and the type of turbines used. They would be sited at a depth of 38m. Offshore wind turbines for EDF Energy and Eneco could then provide between 900 and 1200MW (powering between 615,000 and 820,000 homes per year).
